Next Few Weeks...
Your Thunderbirds will be on a 2 week (possibly more) probation period. The team has voted that the new lead should come from within the team so we will be testing out to see who the best choice would be. If this happens then that would leave an open position on the team which could be anywhere from the diamond to the groundcrew so please do not send in applications to be on the team just yet. I will keep everybody posted as the FSX Thunderbirds look towards the future.

I think your decision to pick someone whos already familiar with the FSX Thunderbirds traditional 'leading style' is the best one you could make. If FOXY still would be on your team and if he had time (as you know, he'll marry) he would be a great choice as far as i can speak about my experience flying with him, even if he hates leading, lol.
I wish you good luck guys, i hope you'll be back on track as soon as possible.
Regards, your Vintage friends

Well 3 people on the tam immediately stepped up to take lead and I wont mention who they are, and it's not that they wanted to leave their spot, they just wanted to make sure this team continues. Out of those three we voted as a team who would be the best candidate and first to go for it. Everybody on this team can lead trust me, what it mostly comes down to is internet connection.

An important part of the requirements to be a flight lead is the knowledge of your aircraft, the capabilities of it, also the capabilities of your pilots and the limits you can go with your equipment. You need to be familiar with many things, so it isnt easy to select a new lead at all. When i wasnt able to fly for a month it took a few practices till i was really back to biz, i noticed that i didnt focus on everything that much like i did before. Must be a hard time for the Thunderbirds...
